Snow, bluebirds and tea …
Posted by Jan at 8:56 am in I Love Tea!, Constant Comments

I love this weather! We have 80° temps one week and snow the next. I’m sitting at the kitchen table, watching the birds and the falling snow.  We have a worm feeder for the bluebirds.   They line up on the fence and wait in the morning for their breakfast. And I saw the first robins last week — a sure sign that Spring is right around the corner.

My new favorite tea is now Lipton’s Orange & Spice Black Tea.

I love it!   I don’t normally sweeten my tea, but this is really nice with a teaspoon of honey.I’m going to try to take a few pictures today and list some more kitchen toys on the site.   I’ve had some requests for a few things on my personal pages that I’ve not managed to get on the store site yet.And a friend of mine has opened a new online shopping site.   I’m going to try to get a few things listed there, too.

So much to do …. but first …. another cup of tea!

This email included some wonderful pictures of two different 50’s era toy kitchens.

“Jan, I have a very old 3 piece pink plastic stove, sink and refrigerator set that I used to play with in the 50’s.  I am going through vintage toys in my house from my childhood and my childrens’ childhoods so I have vintage toys from the 50’s thru the 70’s.  The “kitchen” items I have are the pink kitchen set and I also have a doll kitchen set and the box it came in.  Would you be interested in purchasing these items from me or do you know where I could sell vintage toys to collectors.  Granted, these items have been played with but the fact that they are as old as they are is attractive to a collector.  Thanks for your time.  Below are pics of the Dream Kitchen and I will have to send you the 3 pc pink kitchen separately in my next email.”

I don’t collect these sets, although I used to.   If anyone has any information as to value or if you’re interested, just let me know and I’ll contact the person that sent me the email.

Q & A
Posted by Jan at 3:24 pm in Q & A, Constant Comments

Occasionally I get emails from readers of this blog and people who visit my websites asking about something they have from their childhood.I thought I’d start posting some of those questions in a Q&A blog.

Maybe some of my readers here can help with some identifications that I didn’t know.

Please feel free to comment on any of these blog posts!
